This article conducted a meta-analytic review of intervention methods researched over a 33 year period of time. Results documented in-class effectiveness of reducing off-task and disruptive behaviors by utilizing consequential intervention strategies and self-regulation strategies. Research also indicates teachers are considered effective at implementing given strategies in the classroom setting and target behavior reduction was noted.
