Nail/cuticle picking

  1. Build awareness by paying attention to warning signs, situations, activities, and internal moods/feelings that usually precede/accompany the behaviour. 
  2. Come up with a competing response, e.g. sitting on hands for a minute, playing with a fidget toy, peeling stickers.
  3. Make reasons for wanting to stop the habit more salient by writing a list.
