1. Belize is essentially a resource desert currently for individuals and families needing services for Autism Spectrum Disorders. They lack back diagnostic resources and treatment resources, as well as access to basic healthcare due to refusing to provide health insurance for individuals with an autism diagnosis. 
  2. The New Zealand Disability Strategy discusses barriers to “full participation in society” for people with disabilities in New Zealand and the work that must be done in order to remove said barriers. The resource describes the government’s objectives, including ensuring rights for people with disabilities, providing the best education for those with disabilities, providing employment opportunities and financial assistance, supporting living accommodations for the disabled population, and making the general public aware and responsive to those with disabilities.
