The Five Senses Exercise

  1. Identify yourself as angry, frustrated, upset or annoyed (teach this before where required)
  2. Look around and bring your attention to five things
    you can see
  3. Bring your awareness to four things you are currently feeling,
    e.g., the texture of your pants, the feeling of the breeze on your
    skin
  4. Notice three things that you can hear e.g., birds outside
  5. Notice two things that you can smell 
  6. Notice one thing that you can taste
