Make sure the parents (and client, if possible) are involved in all planning and any modifications. I always do check-ins with parents to see if there are questions or concerns about interventions or to see if anything new has become an issue. I also feel like parents need to vent sometimes and feel like they’re being heard. It’s also important to equip the parents with knowledge and tools to help them feel like they know what’s going on and that they can be helpful too and an important part of their child’s progress.
