If I were working with other service providers and or caregivers that were not implementing interventions that are not evidence based I would start by asking them where they got their information from. I would then suggest credible articles either from JABA or other reputable sites. I would explain that while implementing applied behavior analysis, evidence based treatments and interventions are what people in the field use. I would then explain that this is because there have been studies conducted and these have been published so others in the field can use the most effective way to make behavior change. If this were my client and a non evidence based intervention was being discussed I would be clear that it would not be implanted for my client.
