Operational definition of a problem behavior:  Hitting-defined as punching, slapping, striking another individual with part of the body (i.e., hand, fist, open palm, fingers, knuckles, forearm, elbow, etc.) or using an object as an instrument for completing the aforementioned strike.

Mindful replacement behavior: Sitting on a mat with legs crossed and hands on one’s knees and eyes closed while inhaling and exhaling to the sound of an auditory stimulus (i.e., another person counting, metronome, etc.)
